One of Ruidoso's highest ranked forms of entertainment is "porch" time.
Interested in Broadway theater, or nationally touring musical and dance performances? The 
Spencer Theater, a 514-seat highly touted architectural landmark (designed by architect Antoine Predock) features a production, on the average, once every eleven days year-round. Free tours Tue & Thu at 10 a.m. The theater offers 20% active military discounts. The theater also houses the largest collection of Dale Chihuly glass installations in the southwest.
The Hubbard Museum of the American West, part of the Smithsonian Affiliate Program, is great family entertainment (15% military discount).
While the Flying J Ranch Chuckwagon Supper & Western Show does not offer military discounts, the western village, gunfights dinner and show are an affordable value (www.flyingjranch.com).
